Welcome to the Baltimore Archeological Society (BAS) event page.
Hosted by the Horrorfind Haunters Foundation
For the first time the public is invited to view one of the greatest archeological finds in the Baltimore area. In 2007, a Hunt Valley Hotel was closed for renovations, during the construction a crew accidentally dug into a cave system deep under the hotel. Dr. Wade Davis of the Baltimore Archeological Society (BAS) was called to investigate the cave system. What Dr. Davis found was astounding. The cave hosted the ruins of a tomb of unknown origin as well as the most well preserved cave drawings ever seen. They also discovered something else in the cave that can't be described. BAS is still in the process of exploring and documenting the findings in the cave, but has invited the public to see the tomb and cave drawings. Dr. Davis was quoted as saying that this discovery must be shared and despite opposition from the BAS board of directors especially concerning the area of the cave which is of concern, the public is welcome to view this amazing discovery.
This event is hosted by the Horrorfind Haunters and will take place at Horrorfind Weekend Convention on September 26th between the hours of 12:00 to 5:00. You must have a paid convention wrist band in order to attend. The Haunt is located near the Belmont, Derby, Polo & Chase conference rooms.
Note: A lights on tour of the event will be conducted on Sunday, Sept. 27th from 10:00am to 11:00am
